Those in power tend to be from an older generation and quite rightly, the older you are the more life experience you have. However is this experience valid in a time of rapid technological change?

Through 99% of humans history the average life span was 32. This was partly because of high child mortality, so it is better to get an accurate depiction of alive humans that the median was around 60. This was up until the industrial revolution where this started to increase. Humans are animals of scarcity, not only in the physical but information, its why our eyes and ears are so big so that we have sufficient antenna to pick up where the lions are. Scarcity of information continued up until the internet age where the swing went the other way, too much knowledge. Nowadays we are in the equivalent of Borges' The Library of Babel, long story short, in an age of infinite information factual or otherwise everything is provable.
