Figure 1. Endogenous and Exogenous pacification.

Eight billion people living within a culture of infinite growth on a finite planet is creating serious problems. As the machine mindlessly forges ahead, its first crises are now hitting our daily lives: plastics choking our oceans, wildfires and floods ravaging our lands, and forever chemicals contaminating our waterways.

The machine, oblivious to externalities, fuels ecological devastation that benefits the few while driving despair and inequality for the rest. With politics captured, where do we find solutions? In desperation, many seek escape into infinite distraction, but as the heat is inescapable, we turn to doctors, psychiatrists, and therapists as a last resort. Yet, as Huxley foretold, our final line of defense can’t fix a broken system; it can only numb the pain.

We need to transcend the ancient heuristics which are being taken advantage of, form better collectives, rewire our minds and step bravely forward into a new world. We have the solutions to fix this, we just don't yet have the systems to implement them.

Let’s build those systems.
