With the advent of low cost coding and open source software, barriers to entry are so low, there has been an inevitable flood of competitors into various sectors. The increased competition has led to an increase of efficiency of all players. Once peak efficiency is reached the only place then to differentiate is price, leading ultimately to a collapse of margin and consolidation of the supply chain.
