We are running out of places to turn for answers to the ecological crisis. Whilst we have remedies, they are solutions symptoms of the crisis (deforestation, biodiversity loss, climate change...) and do not address the machine at the core. Most of us don't know its there, some know but have been pacified to fight it and most of those we elevate to fight for us have been captured by it. Unfortunately, with those of us who have seen the machine are set back by tribalism. To defeat a foe it's usually said you should divide and conquer, however, we do it to ourselves through egotism. XR , Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd... all fight for essentially the same cause but are segregated. To make a winning force we need economies of scale, solidarity. However to do such a thing trust is needed. The first great experiment was communism which taught us we have ideological preconceptions, we are not always altruistic and are perpetuated selfish genes. Instead of ignoring this fact and building new, soon to fail institutions, we should accept our failings. i.e. we can work in a group but our primary goal will always be the preservation of self first. Given this, you can see why socialism often doesn't take hold in a society. There is a grandiose ideology that humans have satiety, give them their basic needs they will want for no more. This is rarely the case as our neurochemistry evolved for us to always want in addition to being constantly fed advertising to consume more. During the times of communism, one human would break the altruistic rank, this would then corrupt outliers and then the rest follow. From the instigation of any solution, this must be addressed from the outstart. There needs to be the understanding that humans are inherently selfish. It was thought instead of making hierarchical structures which are prone to corruption by status differentials a flatter structure could be used such as a holacracy. The issue with this is "some become more equal than others" when this is realised productivity slumps as the crowd realises that someone is working less than them. Very little organisations with flat hierarchies exist as they have been shown to be inefficient. Hierarchical structures are needed for effective human management, however the problem remains how to address the corruption issue?

Law 1: Pure transparency

The founding tenet of a new organisation should have this baked into the core. i.e. all decisions, all work, all financials need to be openly published in uneditable, real time. With this founding mechanic, what should its purpose be? Good? This is a relative term, what's good for you might not be good for me, however what is good for us given we are in a biosphere together is good for all.

Law 2: Beneficence

What is good for all should be the purpose of a machine for all. However, this should prevent authoritarianism and prevent the harm to human life.

Law 3: Non-maleficence

The entity may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm. To protect from automation

Law 4: Autonomation

The entity should only pursue activities which are autonomous. The entity must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the Second or Third Law.

Law 5: Self-preservation

The entity must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the Second or Third Law.
