Introduction

Evolution has shaped human sensory systems to guide adaptive action, not to show us the true nature of reality. Meaning we should take our perceptions seriously, but we should not take them literally. By inducing Pivotal Mental States the cognitive lens by which we all see can be subtracted to get a better understanding of our common World View.
